Oliver M. Cyranka,
born ī70 in Germany, showed an early passion for singing as well as for keyboard and stringed instruments at the beginning of primary school, when he used to sing and play to TV jingles on a plastic accordion and a broken three stringed guitar. Without doubt, those habits soon turned out to be somehow unpopular at home. Thereupon, he learned more seriously to play the piano at an age of 11 and the guitar at an age of 15. Besides playing and singing he is also interested in music recording and song writing. Oliver is an admirer of the big entertainers of the 80s, such as Phil Collins, Elton John, a-Ha and Bryan Adams. But he also has a distinct passion for Irish and Scottish folk songs, as well as for old-school Rock īnī Roll, such as the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. After a longer period of musical abstinence, he started again playing in an acoustic group some years ago. Since then, he tried on a large variety of styles, starting from Jazz Standards and moving on to modern Pop and Rock music, such as Green Day and Foo Fighters. Now, he is very glad to have the opportunity to be with HardCopy, since it somehow seems to be an essence of many things he has done so far. *****
